Multistate Employers
If you are a multi-state employer, you have two reporting options:
- Report newly-hired employees or re-hires to each State in which you
do business and your employees are hired, or
- Select one state where you have employees working and report all new
hires to that state electronically or magnetically (see file
layout for format).
You may not report using both
multi-state and single-state methods.
Instructions for On-line Registration:
- Make sure you are a multi-state employer - Do you have employees
in more than one (1) state and is one of those states Tennessee?
- Register with the
Tennessee New Hire Reporting site if you have not already and make sure
you have received your confirmation of your registration.
- Go to the Multi-State
Reporting page.
- Supply your company and subsidiary information on the form
provided and transmit the information to the Department of Health and
Human Services, Multi-State Registration agency.
